Kay Lafranconi is a graduate of University California Davis in political science (she very passionate about politics and social justice). She fell into the world of finance when she worked in tall buildings. Kay isn’t a tall building type. She left the big city to come back to her native Napa Valley. She now lives and works on the ground floor, making eco-friendly, wine glass jewelry.
Cynthia Kapjian enjoys living and working in Yountville. A native of San Francisco, Cindy graduated from UC Irvine and then returned to San Francisco for Medical School at UC San Francisco. A Family Medicine Physician, she currently works at the California Veterans Home in Yountville. “After living in Napa Valley over twenty years it dawned on me that not only is there great wine here, but there are a lot of beautiful empty bottles! Breaking a lot of glass in the garage on Yount Street while making recycled glass jewelry is an adventure, and when I cut myself, I can take care of myself… so it’s a good fit.”
Yount Street Glass is a labor of love and we owe much to our friends and family for their ideas and wine bottles. Both are equally important.

Sargent “SARGE” Marie to his friends. Everyone is Sarge’s friend. Sarge, a Napa Shelter rescue, enjoys tennis, okay really just tennis balls, swimming and long walks on the beach. His favorite spot is the beach at Chrissie Field in the City, where he sees his cousin Anoush and all three of his interest combine in a magical way.
Sweetie Marie is a rescue from a butcher shop in Taiwan. She has a few issues, Sarge has really helped her find her best dog self. She enjoys sprinting, sitting next to a warm body and barking at Sarge to let him know that swimming can be dangerous. Her motto, “You go first.”

You’ll note that some of our pieces are named for people who inspired that design. Some are teammates and some are close friends.
Formerly home to a car, this Studio now serves as HQ
for the overall shaping and initial design of the pieces. Basically, it is where the ‘messy’ stuff happens - saws, grinders, drills - water spraying everywhere, glass dust (sometimes shards) flying and always always messy. Showers recommended after working in this studio.
Formerly knows as Kay’s office, it now is where we assemble the glass with the silver and Napa Valley Wine bottles are turned into upcycled jewelry. This Studio houses our three kilns, the solder bench and the metalwork bench. Once soldered, pickled and polished, our pieces are inspected by Inspector #1 or Inspector #2.
